Life Legacy
Jackie Lee "Jack" Shoemaker, 78, of Logansport, IN (formerly of Star City, IN and Kewanna, IN) passed away at 3:20 PM Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Miller's Merry Manor in Logansport. Jack was born on April 25, 1938 in Andrews, IN to the late Franklin and Mary Shoemaker.
In 1956, Jack joined the US Army and while in service he received his GED from the Armed Forces Institute. He was a lifelong truck driver. In 1971, Jack received a Gas and Arc Welding diploma from Lewis Cass High School.
Jack was a member of the Catholic faith.
Jack was a former Eagle Scout and Boy Scout Leader. He was also a former member of the Tipton Lodge #33 F&AM. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. Jack was also a member of Moose Lodge #232, Fraternal Order of Eagles #2580, American Legion #60, and VFW Men's Auxiliary #3790.
Jack was a competitive shooter and marksman. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and horseback riding.
Jack will be missed.

Funeral Services will take place at 11 AM EDT Monday, May 16, 2016 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman officiating. The American Legion and VFW will conduct full military honors at the funeral home.
Private Burial will take place at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery South, Pulaski, IN.
Memorial Contributions may be given to the funeral home to help the family with funeral expenses.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Frain Mortuary, Winamac, IN.
