Monte Lynn Day, 78, of Star City, IN, formerly of Okeechobee, FL, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 6:49 AM at his home in Star City. He was born on April 13, 1941 in Star City, IN to the late Wayne L. and Minnie Mae Moncel Day. Monte was a laborer at RCA in Monticello for 18 years. He worked at Walmart in Monticello, IN, Rochester, IN and Okeechobee, Fl for 11 years. Monte enjoyed racing Weedwacker tractor pullers. He loved going to flea markets. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He is survived by: Evelyn Pitcher, Star City, IN Life Partner Diana Lincoln, Star City Daughter Laura Hull, Star City, IN Daughter Sandy Day, Davenport, IA Daughter Mona Gibbs, Las Vegas, NV Daughter Dennis Pitcher, Winamac, IN Son James Pitcher, Waco, TX Son Irene Surma, Eupora, MS Daughter 18 Grand Children 32 Great Grandchildren Many Nieces and Nephews Preceded in death by: Wayne L. and Minnie Mae Moncel Day.
