Mary Louise Grace, 76, of Winamac, IN, formerly of Gary, IN,  passed away at 10:55AM Saturday, October 10, 2020 at her residence in Winamac.   Mary was born on January 30, 1944 at St. Louis, MO, to the late Francis John and Katherine Virginia Smith Raskopf. Mary was married to Joseph Gerald Grace in November of 1968. Joseph died on June 19, 2001.

 

Mary had worked as a bartender at the Gas Light Inn in Gary, IN. She and Joseph had owned the bar for many years. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Winamac.

 

Mary was a homemaker. She loved working at the bar. Mary was an avid Cubs fan. She was a frequent volunteer at her church and enjoyed going to eat with her friends following church.

 

Mary loved shopping on the QVC- TV program. She enjoyed watching old TV shows like Perry Mason and Murder She Wrote.

 

She is survived by:

Gerry G. (Nicki) Grace,   Rolling Prairie, IN     Son

7 Grandchildren

Ruth (Terry) Gray,   Westville, IN    Sister

Richard (Cindi) Raskopf,   Portage, IN    Brother

 

Preceded in death by:

Francis John and Katherine Virginia Smith Raskopf Rendo,     Parents

Patricia Chionos    Sister

Clifton Wright     Fiancée

 

 

 

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Reed Cemetery in Winamac, IN. 

 

Burial will take place at Reed Cemetery in Winamac, IN

 

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Peters Catholic Church.
