Estelle M.  Galbreath, 98, of Royal Center, IN died on November 8, 2020 at IU Health Hospital in Lafayette, IN.  She was born on October 14, 1922 in Chicago, IL to the late Kost and Vera Mitrus.  Estelle graduated from Winamac High School and attended nursing school in Indianapolis, IN.  On November 15, 1953, she married Herbert E. Galbreath who preceded her in death on November 13, 2005.

 

Estelle was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Winamac.  She was a former Girl Scout Troop Organizer and a 4-H Leader and Council Member.  Estelle was a Past President of the Star City American Legion Auxiliary.

 

She is survived by:

Dr. Sharon (Jack) Mellor, Pittman Center, TN Daughter

Herbert L. (Donna) Galbreath, Royal Center, IN Son

Jessica Galbreath, Royal Center, IN Granddaughter

Ashley (fiancé: Austin Harmon) Galbreath, Royal Center, IN Granddaughter

Megan Galbreath, Royal Center, IN Granddaughter

 

Preceded in death by:

Kost and Vera Mitrus, Parents

Herbert E. Galbreath, Husband

 

Private Graveside Services will be held at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Winamac, IN with Rev. Andrew DeKeyser officiating.


Burial will take place at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Winamac, IN.

 

Memorial Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
