Obituary of DELORES K. SCHULTZ

Delores [Kain] Schultz, 88, of Star City, IN passed away at 3:15 PM Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac, IN.  She was born on March 28, 1932 in Chicago, IL to the late Anthony William and Elizabeth Helene [Krempetz] Kain.  Delores graduated from Winamac High School in 1950.  On April 1, 1951, she married George Henry Schultz in Star City.  After retirement, Delores and George enjoyed spending time in St. Pete, FL.  George passed away on March 5, 2008. 

Delores was a longtime member of Star City United Methodist Church.

Delores was a proud farm wife and devoted mother.  She enjoyed cooking and baking.  During planting and harvest, she made sure the men never went without something homemade to eat. 

For many years, Delores had fun with BINGO and Bunco and in recent years, she enjoyed “going north”.   She also liked playing scratch offs.

Delores loved her family very much, especially spending time with and hearing stories about her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Delores was a kind and loving woman and she will be dearly missed.

Private Visitation will be held at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN.

Private Graveside Services will be held at Star City West Cemetery in Star City, IN with Very Rev. Theodore Dudzinski officiating.  

Private Burial will take place at Star City West Cemetery, Star City, IN.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Parkview Haven Retirement Home in Francesville, IN.
