Gerald Lloyd Weaver, 91, of Winamac, IN passed away at 11:49 AM Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Hickory Creek Healthcare in Winamac.  He was born on February 24, 1929 in Culver, IN to the late Owen M. and Anna M. [Plotner] Weaver.  He served in the US Army during the Korean War.  On September 5, 1953, Gerald married Shirley A. Schneider.  She passed away on June 16, 2004. 

Gerald retired from Winamac Steel in 1993.  In his retirement, he continued to work for Pulaski County Recycling and retired in 2019 at the age of 90.

Gerald was a lifetime member of the Winamac VFW Post #1728 and a longtime member of the Winamac Eagles #2580.  He was also a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Winamac.

Gerald enjoyed fishing (especially ice fishing), golfing, hunting, bowling, and working.  He also enjoyed watching western movies and TV shows.  Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.   Gerald will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Private Visitation will take place at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN. 

Private Funeral Services will be held at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN with Rev. Edward Clark officiating.

Private Burial will take place at Winamac Cemetery (McKinley Addition) in Winamac, IN.  The VFW and American Legion will conduct Military Graveside Services.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Winamac VFW Post #1728.
