Bob, Daughter, Brothers, Sisters, other Family and Friends,
1st I wanna say that is a beautiful picture of Chris, very representative of her every day life, look.
Sorry I just caught the notice today of her passing.
Chris was a helpful person in many ways. About 30 years ago I worked at Smith Motor Service and remember her always involved in multiple activities, her car parked out side the shop often with the door still open cause she was involved with other things and coming and going through the day. To this day it seems like her car parked out side the shop like that there is the usual when i drive by there now and then, but i suppose it may if been last fall or so since i drove by. I never seemed to see or talk long with Chris often since i worked for Bob and her, but i remember some great daily lunches at the shop with some lively and interesting discussions about our past and present . Now and then something still comes up in my mind, that would be a good question for Chris to possibly answer, especially when it comes to people from back then. i guess since she knew and interacted with such a large number of people. Any way I share the sorrow and will miss seeing her car in the ready to go parking place that seemed to be hers and her presence in person.

CHRISTINE was a proud sponsor and compassionate woman of God who helped wholly without hesitation she was a proud sponsor of Kanakulya Eria a 7 year old boy at our orphanage home God’s Grace Children Ministries Uganda Africa
Both Eria and Christine shared memories of happiness as for now his heart is broken because it’s hard to replace what Christine was doing for him but we won’t say good bye to sister Christine’s soul with a heart full of buts and ifs so I wanted to put this as a last stone to the hope she has given me and the way she valued my work I wish her a blessed rest in the paradise where we all have our permanent homes in Jesus name

One of my great privileges was to be known as one of Chris Smith's friends! What a great lady. I am blessed to have been able to help her at the hospital on several occasions. I was in her room to serve HER and she was asking about MY family! May her kind be greatly multiplied in this world which so desperately needs such people.
To those family members, rest assured, your loved one will be long remembered-even in her physical absence our friendship is ever close. We are praying and supporting you.

To the family of Chris Smith -- Every single time I met you, you were smiling! You just had a cheerful nature at Smith Motors, at your Mom's house during the fall season, & at the Power of the Past cooking beans & cornbread. You provided our store, Camelot Flowers, with helium for the balloons. My fondest memory is when you did a Pampered Chef Fundraiser for First Christian Church, Winamac, for our newly remodeled kitchen. You taught me what a jicama is, & I think of you to this day every time I purchase one. Rest in Peace multi-talented lady.

It's amazing what a person can do to change and help a community-that was Chris.
Where she saw a need, she stepped in and stepped up. With a little help from her friends,
she would start a new chapter for her community with the Power Show.
Blessings for her journey, and peace and love to her family and friends.
With sincere sympathy-Smed and Lorna

I am so very sorry for your loss. I pray that fond memories and family will in time ease the pain you all feel. Chris was such, caring, giving person. We don't come across many people like her in a lifetime. She knew something about everything and she knew what to say and when to say it. Her love for animals, history and our county were among her many, many attributes. She will be very much missed.
