Duane Schambach posted a condolence

Your family and Dick have been in my heart and prayers, ever since we found out he was so sick. My sympathy to all of you.
We were so sorry we could not attend. I remember when our families would get together over the years, Dick and Roger an I would play and have lots of fun and greatly enjoyed our visits.
I saw Dick and Roger several years ago at Aunt Jenny's funeral in Elgin. I will greatly miss Dick until we meet again in Heaven.
Love to you all,
Duane Schambach. (typed by Connie)
I also will miss Dick and remember the surprise he did for Duane a few years ago when they surprised him with a pizza lunch at our home, while I was at work. The love the "boys" shared was such a gift. There will be a great uniting in glory.
Our love and prayers,
Connie

Dear Bev and Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in the loss of your dear husband, Dad, and grandpa, Dick, May the Lord give you a peace, and comfort knowing he's made it safely home with JESUS. Also praying you will be blessed with His grace and mercy for times ahead. Many special memories come to our mind of your special loved one. We look forward to seeing him on the other shore. Our love and sympathy, Jan and Glenda Neukomm
..... "The Lord is the everlasting God the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:28-31

Words can’t express how much I looked up to Dick. He was my best friends father, a man who valued family, agriculture and his faith. Dick was an encourager, a great husband and father. He was a dear friend. I have so many fond memories of times with Him. I stopped by many times, often unannounced to see my buddy Gary. I was always welcomed, Dick and Bev always made me feel like family.
Although life took us on different paths, the times I spent with Gary and his family will always be some of my fondest memories. May our God of love and peace surround the Overmyer family, may you all have peace knowing what he difference he made in the lives of others. Above all, my love to each of you and thank you for the opportunity to have had the time I value with each of you. My sincere condolences❤️

Beverly and family,
Please accept our sincerely condolences on the loss of Dick. What a gentleman he was that knew no strangers.....even when we were strangers. He without exception, extended his hand in greetings. We certainly loved his sense of humor!
