Obituary of Roseann Ols

Roseann “Rosie” Ols, 85, of Winamac, IN passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at her home.  She was born on September 15, 1935 in Winamac to the late Charles and Margaret [Gerner] Hein.  Rosie graduated from Winamac High School.  On November 8, 1954, she married Chris E. Ols in Michigan City, IN.  He passed away on July 24, 2007.  Rosie retired from Eaton’s in Winamac.

Rosie was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Winamac and was an active member of the Christian Mothers and Ladies of Charity.  She was also a member of Winamac Eagles #2580.  Rosie enjoyed sewing and crocheting as well as traveling (with her grandchildren).   More than anything she loved her family very much and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be from 4-8 PM EDT Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN. 

The Rosary will be recited at  6 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home followed by Christian Mothers and Ladies of Charity Services.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM EDT Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Winamac, IN with Rev. Andrew DeKeyser officiating. 

Burial will take place at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Winamac, IN.

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
