Josephine “Jo” [Bailey] Wireman Denton, 72, of Medaryville, IN went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 15, 2021.  She was born on June 7, 1948 in Rensselaer, IN to the late Clifford and Lorena [Stone] Bailey.  Josephine attended Medaryville High School.  She was raised and baptized at Bailey’s Corner Church.  On January 8, 1966, Josephine married her first husband, John Wireman, Jr. at Bailey’s Corner Church.  John passed away February 1, 1983.  They raised four children: Dawn, Adriene’, Scott, and Angel.  On September 7, 1985, Josephine married Danny Denton at Bailey’s Corner Church.  They had one daughter, Cherish.   In 1998, at the age of 50, Josephine received her high school diploma from North Judson-San Pierre High School.

Josephine was a proud homemaker, but held numerous jobs over the years.  She enjoyed working at Head Start in Winamac.  Josephine always worked hard to care for her family.

Josephine was a longtime member of the Medaryville Assembly of God Church.  She taught Sunday school and children’s church for many years.  Her calling to teach was evident to all.  She enjoyed working in the church and praising the Lord through song.  Josephine was the leader of Faith, a gospel singing group.  She loved to read the Bible and was faithful to pray for others.  Josephine will be remembered for her devotion and love for the Lord.

Josephine especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.  She was a loving and caring person who always put others first.  Josephine’s life was a true testament and example of how a relationship with the Lord should be.
