Obituary of Roger Ray Tanner

Roger Ray Tanner, 72, of Francesville, IN (formerly of Medaryville, IN) went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 24, 2021.  He was born on October 3, 1948 in Medaryville to the late Floyd Linford and Lillian A. [Stewart] Tanner.   Roger grew up on the family dairy farm North of Medaryville.  At the age of 8, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at the Medaryville Christian Church.  He graduated from Medaryville High School in 1966 and attended Lincoln Christian College in Lincoln, IL.  While in college, Roger was drafted into the US Army and served during the Vietnam War.  On October 19, 1968, he married the love of his life, Denice Haring at the Medaryville Christian Church. 

Roger was a lifelong farmer and member of the Medaryville Christian Church.  He dedicated his life to Jesus and enjoyed working on the farm.  Roger was an avid supporter of mission work.  Roger was a devoted husband and loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather who supported his family wholeheartedly.   He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will from 10 AM – 12 Noon EDT Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Francesville, IN.

Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon EDT Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Francesville, IN with Pastor Wes Raley officiating. The American Legion will conduct Military Honors at the funeral home.

Private Burial will take place at Bethlehem Cemetery in Medaryville, IN.
