Rev. Robert William Van Ness, 95, of Star City, IN was surrounded by loved ones when he passed on from this Earth into the arms of his heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.  He was born on October 15, 1926 in Elwood, IN to the late Forrest and Pauline [Lambertson] Van Ness, Sr.  Robert served the Lord as a pastor for many years and worked at Chrysler in New Castle, IN.  He enjoyed visiting with people and never knew a stranger.  Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  His grandchildren were his ultimate joy.  Robert will be forever missed.

 

He is survived by:

Linda (Sam) Scott, Daughter

Sharon Ferguson, Daughter

Robert D. “Bob” (Melissa) Van Ness, Son

13 Grandchildren: Michael, Nathan, Amy, Mary, Joseph, Amanda, Christopher, Amber, Anna, Cheyenne, Austin, Autumn, and Allaina

9 Great Grandchildren: Landon, Kevin, Sara, Dani, Jaden, Dean, Kenny, Samantha, and Killian
