My wife Pat and I knew Judy in AZ. We lived in the same condo association and shared many meetings and dinners with her. We never met a kinder and more prayerful person then Judy. I am a better person for having known her. May perpetual light shine upon her and may she rest in peace.

Knowing Judy Gudeman was truly one of the greatest honors/privileges of my life. Judy was part of our church family from the very beginning here in Surprise, Arizona from late 2003 until she moved back to Indiana in 2018. She actually was part of a prayer team that was praying fervently for months before we launched the church. I so loved to hear her pray! It was as though I was eavesdropping on a daughter gratefully and so personally pouring her heart out to her Father and in fact that's exactly what was happening. As the lead pastor of our church I can't ever remember a week that Judy wasn't serving both as we gathered to worship together on Sundays and then during the week visiting widows, the sick, and many in hospice as well as helping in senior centers. Thinking I had an idea of how busy she was, I decided to ride along with her one day...in reality I had no idea of how much this precious woman gave her life away! Never have I met somebody that embodies what Jesus said in Mark 10:45 like Judy did, "For even the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and give His life a ransom for many." There is a very small group of people that I would love to be like on my journey to being conformed to the image of Jesus...Judy is towards the top of that list. I pray to be half the Christ follower that she was!

I was privileged to work with Judy at Parkview Haven. I was the Director of Nursing prior to her coming and excepting that position. It was a privilege to serve the Lord with her through the ministry of the nursing facility. She was a beautiful example of Jesus’s hands and feet to all of us.

I remember Judy from earliest Sunday School days, as well as a neighbor "down on the farm" in Francesville. She was a beautiful and Godly woman who touched lives around the world, and her influence continues to be felt. May God comfort her extended family as they feel her loss, but also rejoice in her Homegoing.

I was privileged to call Judy "Aunty", as a child at Karanda Mission Hospital in Zimbabwe during the 1960s. She was one of the special people that surrounded us in those days. Later, as I occasionally visited Karanda to help out during my adult years, I happened to be at the hospital facility while Aunty Judy was there helping out. In this picture she and Aunty Kathy Stephens are packing presents for area children involved in an orphan party being held by the hospital. What a blessing to be able to catch up with her. She had many ministry interests over the years, one of them was focused on our family as we began to work at Karanda in the mid 2000s. I am thankful to the Lord for her generous hands, cheerful attitude and easy smile.

I came to know Judy in Zimbabwe. I was just one of the kids but Judy always showed the love and gentle kindness that made her a favorite “auntie”. Many years later as my wife Alison and I became missionary staff at Forest Springs Camp & Conference Center in Wisconsin, Judy joined our support team. Her prayer, letters and support has been such a great encouragement to us for over 20 years. We were honored by her faithfulness - to say the least. May the Lord continue to use Judy’s faithful service.

I worked with Judy at Karanda Hospital in Rhodesia/Zimbabwe in the 1970s. Judy was an exemplary missionary that we all looked up to. Her sincere devotion to God was evident to all. She served as matron to the hospital but in some ways was matron to all of the other single missionaries on the station serving as a model to us. We know that her light continued to shine even when the war ended her service on the mission field. I will always remember her with many positive feelings. I am at peace knowing she is at peace with her Savior and God.
