Obituary of Thomas E. Saltsman, Sr.

Thomas E. “Tom” Saltsman Sr., 82, of Medaryville, IN, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at IU Health Hospital in Lafayette, IN.  Tom was born on November 30, 1939 in Medaryville, IN to the late Hallie and Edna Mae Brick Saltsman.  Tom married Karma Jean Hughes on September 14, 1958 in Medaryville, IN. She died on September 6, 2012.

Tom was a life member of NRA, and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150.     He was retired from Vulcan Materials in Francesville after 35 years.

Tom enjoyed woodworking and working on cars. He also enjoyed fishing. Tom especially enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Tom will be dearly missed by all who knew and  loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 4 PM EDT at Meadow Springs (8631 South Highway 421 Francesville, IN.) A dinner will be served following services.

Friends may visit with the family from 1 PM EDT until the time of the services on Sunday.

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital
