Obituary of Susanne Gail Lewis

Susanne Gail Lewis, 67, of New Albany, IN, passed away on April 8, 2022. Born July 19, 1954 in Gary, IN to Leland “Bud” Lewis and Sally [Swanson] Lewis. She was raised in Bass Lake, IN and lived much of her life there. Sue had a happy, contented time on this earth and moved on peacefully while surrounded by her loved ones. She enjoyed spending time with family at the lake while reading, knitting, cheering for the Hoosiers, or just relaxing while watching the boats pass by. Sue was a wonderful and loving mother who made it to every baseball game and concert, often shuttling around in her car with her son and his friends.

She is survived by her mother Sally, her son Edward Lewis, her sisters Deborah Lorenz and Jennifer (Michael) Prorwicz as well as her nephews Nicholas, Bradley, and Mitchell Prorwicz She is predeceased by her father Leland along with her brother Leland.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Private burial to take place at Bass Lake Cemetery in Bass Lake, IN.
