Obituary of Dave Budd

Dave Budd, 60, of Pulaski, IN passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 9, 2022.  He was born on October 22, 1961 at home in rural Pulaski, IN to the late Harold and Ruth [Smith] Budd.  Dave graduated from Winamac High School in 1980 and Indiana Central University in 1982.  Dave was raised in the Pulaski Presbyterian Church where he had served as an elder and sang in the choir.  On August 5, 1984, Dave married Karen Rife at Bethel Bible Church in Winamac, IN. 

Dave was the third generation owner and agent at Budd Insurance Agency in Winamac where he had been an agent for over 40 years.  He was very proud to carry on the family tradition and greatly enjoyed his work. 

Dave was devoted to serving the Lord through his service to others.  He was an active member and deacon at Bethel Bible Church, a charter member of Pulaski County Camp of Gideon’s International, and a 40 year member of Winamac Kiwanis Club. 

Dave was an amateur geologist who supported Pulaski County 4H as a Project Leader for many years.  He and his family volunteered with the Indiana State Museum on numerous paleontological excavations. 

Dave was a loving and devoted husband and father.  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A Kiwanis Service will be held at 2:45 PM EDT Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN.

Visitation will be from 3-8 PM EDT Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN.

Visitation will be from 10-11 AM Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Bethel Bible Church in Winamac, IN.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM EDT Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Bethel Bible Church in Winamac, IN with Pastor Don Whipple officiating. 

Burial will take place at Winamac Cemetery (McKinley Addition) in Winamac, IN.
