Obituary of Michael Lynn Dixon

Michael Lynn “Mike” Dixon, 74, of Plymouth, IN, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN.  He was born on August 13, 1948, to the late Forrest “Forty” and Amelia [Kruzick] Dixon in Star City, IN.  He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.  Mike married Sandra A. Howard in 1972.  They shared 32 years together and raised three boys, Gregory, Brian and Adam.  Mike retired from Norfolk Southern where he worked as a welder.  After the passing of his wife, Sandra in 2005, Michael met Susan Taylor.  They shared 16 years of loving companionship.

Mike was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.  He enjoyed playing cards and golfing.

 

He is survived by:

Susan Taylor, Companion

Gregory Dixon, Son

Brian Dixon, Son

Adam Dixon, Son

7 Grandchildren

Thomas Dixon, Brother

Jennifer [Dixon] Fletcher, Niece

Bobby Dixon, Nephew

 

He is preceded in death by:

Forrest “Forty” Dixon, Father

Amelia Dixon Selle, Mother

Sandra A. [Howard] Dixon, Wife

 

Private Family burial will take place at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Winamac, IN.

 

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Cemetery in Winamac, IN.

 

Local Arrangements have been entrusted to Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN.
