Our hearts are sad at the passing of this lovely lady. She was such a wonderful neighbor. We always honk as we drive past her home. She is now in her heavenly home with her loving husband.

I remember how involved she was at Pleasant Hill vacation bible school. How blessed we were that God gave her to us to teach us and lead us in those times. Her life here had purpose for sure.

Helen was such a lovely lady. Not only was she a good friend to my mother, but she was my fraternal sister in the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a faithful and cheerful member and her music graced our meetings, making them much more meaningful. Although quiet, Helen had a good sense of humor and teased me often. I would try to shock her by saying or doing something semi-outrageous but she would just laugh and say, “oh now, Julie.” Heaven gained a good one and I know she’s reunited with Willard.

I absolutely loved Helen and loved helping her. She was always happy and liked sharing memories of travel, their exchange student, her family and her cherished birds that we would watch through the window. I am glad I was able to spend time with her. She will be missed but she is now free.

My favorite memory of your mom is your mom and my mom preparing for VBS at Pleasant Hill. They worked tirelessly to make sure that things were ready for us and done right. They knew how important it was to do a good job and to help us to find Jesus at an early age. Those memories are very important as I can still hear Rev Smitley leading us in singing " Boys and Girls For Jesus". I am sure that Jesus is now letting Helen know what great job that she did.
