Obituary of James A. Reid
James A. “Shoe” Reid, 64, of Star City, IN passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Hickory Creek in Winamac, IN. He was born on February 9. 1959 in East St. Louis, IL to the late Donald E. and Matilda J. [Rustemeyer] Reid. Jim graduated from Winamac High School in 1978. He worked as a welder at Galbreath for over 40 years.
Jim enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and floating the river. He also enjoyed playing pool and collecting Budweiser beer steins. Jim was an avid fan of NASCAR, Indianapolis Colts, and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He lived his life to the fullest and will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be from 11 AM - 3 PM EDT Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN
A Memorial Service will be held 3 PM EDT Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN with Rev. Dennis Faker officiating.
Burial will take place at Winamac Cemetery in Winamac, IN.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Pulaski Animal Center or Gentiva Hospice.
Cremation will take place at Frain Crematory in Winamac, IN.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN.
