Donald H. “Don” Prettyman, 88, of Duluth, MN passed away Friday, March 4, 2022.  He was born December 17, 1933 in Francesville, IN to the late Merl and Alma [Peters] Prettyman.  Don married Mary Ann Gay in Ashland, WI on September 15, 1959.  He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War.  Don worked as a Soil Scientist for the US Forest Service and the University of Minnesota.  After his retirement, Don started his own company.

 

He is survived by:

Mary Ann [Gay] Prettyman, Wife

Patrice Prettyman-Atkinson, Daughter

Theodore Prettyman, Brother

Numerous nieces and nephews

Mant other family members and friends

Merl and Alma [Peters] Prettyman, Parents

Jeffrey D. Prettyman, Infant Son

Roger Devon Prettyman, Brother

Robert James Prettyman, Brother

Charles Richard Prettyman, Brother

Ralph Neil Prettyman, Brother

Ronald Edgar Prettyman, Infant Brother

 

Graveside Services will be held at 11 AM EDT Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Winamac Cemetery (Town Addition) in Winamac, IN.  The VFW and American Legion will conduct Military Graveside Services.

Burial of Cremated Remains will take place at Winamac Cemetery (Town Addition).

Local arrangements have been entrusted to Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN.
