To the family of my 5th grade teacher, Mr. Smith: It was one of the most memorable moments of my life when as an adult I was able to have Mr. Smith in my basic computer class that I was leading at the local library. We talked after one of the classes and he was so gracious as always. He was and is an inspiration to me as a teacher & as a Christian. Sincerely, Edie (Edith Wagner) Tendick

Harold was a True Christian Gentleman who enjoyed teaching. His kindness to the students & his colleagues was most appreciated. He loved playing table tennis, fishing and loved the beautiful nature that surrounded him. Prayers to his family.

My husband, Scott, and I had Mr. Smith in 5th grade - probably 1978-ish ... He used to do bird calls which we thought were so cool. I'll always remember how sweet and patient he was, and for dealing with us bratty 5th graders, God love him!!!!!!!
